I looked at her wondering what it was about her that drew me to her. She wasn’t exceptionally pretty in fact she was a goody two shoes and I was the school’s resident bad boy. Now my math tutor Mr. Flynn had suggested I let her tutor me to get my grades up. Ok so before we get to the story let me introduce myself. My name is Gerard Pique but everyone calls me Pique. I am the schools playboy, resident devil and all round bad boy. See I as I grew up I went through a lot. My parents divorced and then I was moved around like a yo-yo. So Yeah I became the stone heart guy I am now but lately I seem to have developed a kind of crush I would say on Jouty the smart Alec of our school. I mean she isn’t pretty like any of those rich bimbo’s I have dated and she never attends parties. In fact I think she disappears into her lair before sunset. When I see her in school it’s like the sun has come out to play but I have never seen her smile. She is so meek and shy I think if anyone good looking said hi she would faint and with a face like mine if I said hi she would have a heart failure. So how do I ask her?
“Buddy what’s up?” I heard my friend Cesc say behind me slapping me on my back.
“I need to ask a girl for something and I am wondering how to do it” I replied still looking at her while she got books from her locker.
“Are you losing your magic touch? Come buddy you can ask any girl for anything and they would fall at your feet to give it to you, except maybe that math nerd in our math class.” Cesc said looking at Jouty not know that Pique was looking at her too. “So who is this lucky lady?”
I turned to look at him then looked back at Jouty pointing to her.
“Oh man, what have you got to ask her though? I mean she is not pretty, and she doesn’t party like we do and hardly talks to anyone. So what do you have to ask her?” Cesc said
“I need her super math skills. My math grades are not doing well so Mr Flynn told me to get tutored by her. She doesn’t speak to anyone how am I supposed to ask her without her running away?” I asked Cesc hoping he could give me some mature advice.
“Uh I don’t know… Maybe you could write her a letter?” Cesc replied smiling like an idiot
“Letter… did you just ask me the bad boy of the entire year to write Miss shy a letter? Are you out of your mind?” I said loudly and then it clicked. Of course a letter would be perfect that way she would have time to prepare herself to meet me. “I love you Cesc you are a genius” I whacked him on the back and walked off to the library.

-Lol- I can understand Jouty being smart but not going party and the nerd thing is a bit of overkill but it is all from Pique's point of view and he just doesn't know her yet. oh it would be such a twist if she turns out to be the most fun person ever.
ReplyDeleteYou have a bit of an inconsistency on who wants Pique to ask Jouty for the tutoring. His math tutor or Mr. Flynn...whoever he is. If it was the math tutor...why? If I was the one tutoring you I wouldn't recommend another tutor.
Besides all that, it is a really good story and very well written. I can't wait to read the next part! very well done baji.

Numero Tres: Out of all the different types of nerd you could make me, you chose math?? *falls of chair* I dislike math with a passion. I doubt I hate anything more than I hate math. But I love this nonetheless.
