I'd like you even if you were malign

And had a yen for sudden homicide.

I'd let you put insecticide

Into my wine.

Naina cupped his face. She tried to bring his face closer. When it didn't work she frowned. She stood on her tiptoes and leaned towards him till she closed the distance between them. Her lips touched his. She closed her eyes, and when he didn't do anything she let out a forced giggle.

"Even you wouldn't want me" she whispered.

She opened her eyes a took a few steps back. "I didn't mean to" Naina lightly tilted her head. Her voice was desperate. " I really didn't mean to."

Junsu had a feeling her words weren't quite directed at him. He had no clue what was she talking about. He didn't even know who she was. She did seem familiar though. He probably saw her around the campus.

Naina let out a heavy sigh. She turned and headed toward the road.

Junsu saw her unsteady steps. "Hey!" He called out. " Wait!"

She didn't hear him, and even if she did, she was in no shape to understand what he said. He looked around in annoyance, he was supposed to study. Organic chem wasn't going to pass all by itself. He decided to go after her anyways.

Naina stopped in her track. She turned and looked at him. "Why are you following me?"

Junsu decided to ignore her question. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Naina nodded her head like a child, and continued to walk.

Junsu looked at her in disbelief. She was definitely drunk, really drunk.

"Let me call you a cab" Junsu called out.

Naina shook her head. "No thanks. I can walk"

"Yeah.. I can see that.." Junsu muttered. He walked a little faster to shorten the distance between them, because he was sure she would fall on her face anytime now.

He was wrong. She kept walking. Although he wasn't about to admire her walk in a zig zag pattern, he admired her strength. He stopped when she sat down at the bus stop bench.

"I can leave now..I guess" Junsu thought outloud. He was right about to turn back and walk away but he wanted to make sure she was okay. Buses didn't even run this late. He walked towards her and sat on the bench, leaving some space between them.

Naina looked at her painted toes, which were poking out of her sandals. She let out a cry. She sucked.

"Are you okay?" Junsu asked

Naina looked at him angrily. " Do I sound okay?"

"No" Junsu shrugged. " But earlier you said you were okay"

"Well.......people..lie" Naina replied and looked away.

Naina slid her sandal off.

"I think you should keep your shoes on" Junsu said.

"They are not mine" Naina replied. She turned to look at him. " Nothing is mine."

Junsu felt really bad for her at the moment. She must've known this, because she gave him a very weak smile. Now that he was sitting beside and could see her face properly he noticed her tear-stained face.

Naina stood up in a swift motion, almost losing her balance thanks to her wobbly legs, that were a bit to tired to support her tonight. " I am going to go". She stated as if this was one of the world's biggest decision ever made.

Junsu looked at her in disbelief. " What.. put your shoes on." Maybe she was a bit more drunk than what he imagined her to be.

Naina shook her head. " I told you, they are not mine" She started walking barefeet.

Junsu's first instinct was to go after her and tell her to put her shoes on, then he remember he barely knows her. Actually he didn't know her at all. Once again he considered the option of leaving. But the idea of leaving a drunk girl at the side of the road bothered him. If he walked away now chances are, her thoughts will most likely haunt him for a very long time. Junsu picked up her shoes and followed her.

Few minutes later she went inside an apartment. Junsu was few feet behind her, and by the time he got to the door it was already locked.

"This is good bye then I guess" Junsu softly said. He placed the shoes at the door and started walking.

He was glad this weird night was over, yet he couldn't help himself from looking back at the apartment building one last time.

Naina woke up in the morning with one of the worst headaches in life. She laid still for some time then it dawned on her. She was alone, truly alone. She tried to hold back the sob. She forgot what it was like to be by herself and she didn't want to remember again.

  1. Wow 2 stories from Jouty in one night... I am impressed... Looks like I am going to have to pull up my socks and write :)

Ok this chapter was so touchy. I feel naina;s pain and sadness. That empty feeling and hollowness...

Its has been again well written and I just love Junsu's indecisiveness... its soo endearing like he has so much to so but still goes after her.

    Three cheers jouty
Now what bribe can I offer you to give us more chapters. ;)

  3. This is an awesome story, a mystery. Why is Naina alone? And whats with her trying to kiss Junsu, cause he's a random stranger right? leaving me with so many damn questions. LOVED IT though.
