Author's note: This just popped into my head. I saw this performance on Wednesday and one of the songs was ETA-Never. I loved the title so this is what popped into my head. ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival.  The meeting scene is based on what you told me long time ago with my own little twist. I hope you like it. His ETA- Never

Jouty looked over the photo album with tears in her eyes. She had wanted this and will not regret it. It’s not as if this change would make a difference. It would be like always but without the heartache…well after a while there will be no more heartache.

She had waited for him for as long as she could. She didn’t want to be a part of this anymore. She was giving and giving and not getting anything in return. No relationship is built that way.

For the past year he had never been around, so why was she missing him so much. They were meant to be in her eyes, but she had grown up since then. Taec had left for Spain two years ago. They both had changed. It wasn’t really just Taec’s or just her fault. They were both at fault or maybe it was just love’s fault.  She had wanted to spend her life with him because he had made her smile and wanted to travel the world like she did. She didn’t remember when those smiles had turned into frowns and tears.

She remembered their first meeting. He had called her an angel. She was backing her car out of the driveway and it was raining badly. He had been running down the sidewalk with his jacket over his head. She ended up giving him a ride. She didn’t even know him at that time and had offered him a ride because they were both going in the same direction. When he had gotten in the car the first words out of his mouth was, “I could have been a stalker, kidnapper, axe-murderer or something.”

Jouty looked him in the eye and asked, “Are you?”

He had looked back at her with amusement in his eyes. “Well I guess you will have to find out. How about some dinner?”

Jouty glanced at him before looking back out of the windshield. “I hate to burst your bubble, but I don’t plan on seeing you again.”

Ofcourse, he had taken it as a challenge and Taec could never resist challenges as she learned. She began to see him all the time and didn’t realize when he had become her best friend.

What she remembered from that was having the courage to help a stranger knowing it could have gone wrong. Remembering that and the courage is what helps her when she looks at the day knowing that he won't be there.

Waiting for him at the train station after three years of flirting and beating around the bush she had finally realized that the ETA of the train he was on was 15 minutes but his ETA to her heart was Never.
