I’m not a person you should be sympathetic towards.
I’m but a fragile broken bird,
I don’t think I’m worthy of anyone’s love,
I’m detached from the world’s rational love,
I believe it’s all fake and sugar-coated with sensitivity,
Don’t look at me in the face, I don’t like starring at the reflection I see in the mirror
Who is that beast that looks right at me?
I open my mouth and all I see, is a hideous monster that can make a baby cry,
Let me be solemn, don’t allow me to smile,
I, myself, will flinch in disgust.
This was so sad yet its so true. I could identify a lot with it. There are emotions that are so hard to express and let out yet I feel your poem was able to. I like this one a lot.
