Taec couldn’t remember how they had gotten together but now he couldn’t imagine his life without her. The music they created when they were together was better than anything he had heard.

He had planned something for tonight. It was going to be all about Jouty. He just needed her. He probably didn’t think he could function without her. He had finally figured it out a month ago that He loved her. He thought it was impossible for him to fall in love but he had and he hadn’t realized it at all until she had to go away for a week.

Forever well until he was alive is what he was going to offer her. She was his savior.

With all the planning done he walked into their apartment and froze just inside the door. She was wearing a black dress that reached her ankles and hugged her all in the right places. It left him breathless. They walked into the restaurant and his eyes couldn’t stay away from her.

They went to the table outside in the backyard where there was a dance floor. They ate their dinner talking about their day. After they finished Taec offered his hand to Jouty and walked her to the dance floor. There was a soft romantic melody playing. He started to sway with her back against his chest.

This had to be perfect, he couldn’t ruin it. He wanted to give her happiness. After the song stopped he turned her around and kissed her softly. He moved a few paces away and offered her his hand again. She looked at him in question but she trusted him and placed her hand in his again. Her palm touched something round and her breath caught in her throat when she saw it was a simple silver ring. There was a small round diamond on the top and she traced her finger around the ring. Her eyes started to moisten as she read the inscription on the inside of the ring.

Forever is for how long I have you.

She could only stare at him and a soft smile spread on her face lighting her up.

“Are you proposing?”

“If you are going to say yes, then yes I am.”

“Well then I guess you are.” She said with a smile on her face.
