“Gun Crackdown”
Guns does not equal safety,
(With nineteen in your possession)
The power is where?
Here they come to take you home,
Drugged up criminals will be on hands and knees,
Gun in your hand,
Are you trying to be a man?
The self-esteem and pride will be left at the door,
The mother’s love will be broken to pieces,
You will walk with your head down,
Guns does not equal safety,
(Had nineteen in your possession)
The power is where?
I really liked this poem.
ReplyDeleteThe first stanza when I read it, I understood what it was saying yet reading the last stanza which says the same thing left me shaken.
The middle part gives it so much meaning and I think people do think that guns do equal safety and this poem does a lot to show you that it is not the case. It is short and simple yet it gets the message across.
This poem is amazing...
ReplyDeleteIts so powerful... and strong...
It has a clear meaning...
Its beautiful...
