The car stops all of a sudden making Roshni jump from her seat.

Roshni clenches her fist to her side while muttering all the bad words she can think of.

Roshni: this was a bad idea. I shouldn't have done it.

She thinks about how she got here.

Last week

Roshni: I am done!! I really mean it. I had enough. [Putting down the phone]

Naina rolls her eyes.

Naina: ofcourse!

Roshni grabs the pillow beside her and hits her.

Roshni: I mean it this time!!

Naina: That's what you say every time. Lets see hmmm last month " I am so done I promise"(mimicking her) and then 5 months ago “This is the last time" and then 8 months and 3 days ago...


Roshni hits her again.

Jouty and KC walk in from the kitchen.

Jouty : heyyy!! Why are you hitting her? [being very mad] that's my job!![smiles] at least do it in front of me so I can enjoy.

Naina grabs the pillow and hits Jouty. They are just about to start the usual when

KC grabs the pillow and sets it aside.

KC: Can you 2 stop acting like kids.

She hands Roshni the coffee mug and sits beside her.

KC: so I am guessing this is bad?
Roshni nods.

KC: what did he say?

Roshni opens her mouth to say something.

Naina: What else can he say?

Roshni: I am getting really tired of it. He is busy again. He knows we are going to Salma's party. Now everyone is going to be in couples except me.

Roshni's thought are rudely disturbed when the car door is slammed shut.

Roshni clenches her fist again. Breathing in and out so she doesn't do something she might end up regretting. She looks beside her.

Jaejoong: what?

Roshni doesn't say anything.

Roshni: do you have to slam the door every time?

Jaejoong: [smiles] No! but it's my car. Usually no one minds...I am sorry I won't do it again. [says sweetly]

Roshni: [sighs] it's ok. Can we go now? At this rate everyone will be there before us.

After a few minutes of driving

Jaejoong: So....

Roshni pretends not to hear him. her arms folded across her chest.

Jaejoong: if you expect everyone to believe we are a couple we have to act like one.

Roshni still doesn't look.

Jaejoong: If I don't know anything about you that might be hard.

Roshni turns and faces him.

Roshni: I am Roshni! I have a boyfriend. Well at least used to. His name is Yamapi. We are perfect for each other. He is rich, handsome, stable, honest and loves me. He is the man of every girl's dreams.

Jaejoong: [gives her a amused glance] that's...nice?? I guess. I asked about you, not him.

Roshni realizes she ended up telling him everything she was saying to herself.
After few seconds

Jaejoong: if he is so great why isn't he with you?

Jaejoong takes the silence as a hint she won't talk about it.

Jaejoong : well just so you know I have a girlfriend…or had one. at least.

He pauses for Roshni to say something.

Roshni: So what happened?

Jaejoong smiles. Finally she is interested.

Jaejoong: well... we grew apart would be one. She believes we need to take a break. See other people. Date around and se what we really want.

Roshni nods.

Jaejoong just smiles. Satisfied he got at least some sort of feedback.

He thinks to himself this will be a long ride!! He needed a date to go to the party. Especially since his ex Maria will be there with someone else. His friends set him up with Roshni at the last moment. The problem is he doesn't know this girl at all. At least it doesn't look like she wants to know him.

A car comes beside them. Jaejoong looks over. The guy gives some sort of grin, trying to show of his ride. Jaejoong steps on the gas and goes a little ahead. The guy does the same, staying few inches ahead of them. Jaejoong presses on his gas again staying a little ahead of the other car.

Roshni looks over to Jaejoong.

Roshni: are you crazy?

She looks over to the car beside them, and sees the guy smirking.

Roshni: oh no!! No way!

She knows guys, they are all stupid. Yamapi would be furious if he finds out about this. He will never do anything like this. He is so responsible. Roshni reassures herself again how good he is, the reason she is still with him. She has no intentions of being in car race at this time of the hour or anytime of the hour for that matter.

15 minutes later.

Roshni: Ahhh!! Go faster!!!!....faster!!!....faster....what are you doing he is catching up?


Roshni looks back at the other car.

Roshni: Go faster!!! We will lose stupid.

Jaejoong: lose?? It's not a competition.

Roshni grab's his collar pulling him closer.

Roshni: oh yes it!! Go faster.

Jaejoong: I can't go any faster than this.

Roshni: Why do you drive if you don't know how to??

Jaejoong: [gives her a glance that screams "crazy" ]

Roshni: Here change seats with me.

Jaejoong: WHAT??

Roshni: change seats with me [says it casually]

Jaejoong: on a moving car? I thought my friends said you were a very quiet, sweet, reasonable, responsible and HEALTHY girl. They didn't mention the mental illness. [screaming]

After a minute when they have switched seats

Roshni: now I will show him...[evil smile]

She steps on the pedal. Jaejoong looks at the speed-o-meter, the dial going higher by the second. He makes a quick prayer to god to keep him alive.

Roshni looks at the speed and smiles.

Jaejoong: evil woman!

Roshni: don't worry you will live.

Roshni puts her hand next to the steering wheel and Jaejoong hears something click. All of a sudden the car's engine roars to life.
Jaejoong: what did you do?

Roshni: I just cranked it up a bit!!

Roshni looks back at the other car. She wants go faster.
She tries changing gears but it seems to be jammed. She pulls harder and it breaks off.
Jaejoong's eyes are filled with rage. He is about to strangle this girl.

Roshni: oops.

Jaejoong: Oops?? You say oops?? Psycho woman!! Now what do we do??

Roshni looks at him. He said "we". Yamapi wouldn't have said that. He would've said something like "look Roshni what you did, now fix it".

Roshni tries to slam the breaks but they fail. She looks at Jaejoong.

Roshni: what should I do?

Jaejoong: say our last prayers. Hope our bodies will be intact so we can be buried, and not turn into ashes.

Roshni: funny! No really [looking scared] what do we do?

Jaejoong takes out his cell phone, dialing a number.

Roshni: Who are you calling at this time?? We are about to crash you idiot!!!!

On the phone:

Jaejoong: Hello...Mom I just wanted to let you know I really love you.

Roshni rolls her eyes.

Jaejoong gets off the phone.

Jaejoong: any calls??

Roshni gives him a very mean glance.

Jaejoong: ok! I didn't think so.

The car is out of Roshni's control. They go through a fence on the side of the road. Both of them are screaming on top of their lungs, with minor pauses to tell the cows to move away from the path.

They finally slam into a tree. And the airbag flies open.

Few minutes of total silence.

Jaejoong gets out of the car and checks himself to make sure his limbs are intact.

Jaejoong: I am alive!!

Roshni gets of the car, breathing heavily. She is all dizzy. She runs toward Jaejoong hugging him tightly.

Roshni: yes we are ok!!

Jaejoong: you!! [pushing her off] stay away from me… at least ten feet away.

Roshni looks confused.

Jaejoong: Ten feet!!

Jaejoong starts walking away.

Jaejoong: I am going to kill them. Who was it that suggested I take his girlfriend's friend out?? Was it Junsu? No, it was Yunho. I am going to kill him!!!!!

Roshni dragging herself behind Jaejoong trying to keep up.

Roshni: could you slow down? I can't walk anymore.

Jaejoong: oh so sorry! [sarcastic] Well you wouldn't have to do all this walking if my car was still here!! [trying not to scream]

Roshni: I can't walk anymore.

Jaejoong: then sit there!!

Few seconds pass and Roshni doesn't say anything.

Jaejoong wonders why she is not saying something. He kind of likes listening to her when she does talk.

He looks back and see she is about to fall on the ground but trying her hardest to keep herself up.

Jaejoong: Roshni??

He runs toward her.
Jaejoong: are you ok?

Roshni looks at him. Something inside her feels very warm to see him being concerned.

Roshni: I am sorry. I am just really tired and couldn't walk. Do you think we could sit for a while?

Jaejoong looks around.

He makes a sudden move and scoops her in his arms.

Roshni: what are you doing?

Jaejoong: we are already very late. If we wait here then we might have to spend the whole night with the cows.

Roshni just nods, loving the feeling of being in his arms. She tries to push it away immediately.

Roshni: this is really sweet of you by the way.

Jaejoong looks at her…and then smiles slowly.

Jaejoong: just pay for my massage later...or do it yourself. After carrying you I might need one!

Surprisingly Roshni laughs.

Roshni: so how long are we walking for?

Jaejoong: we just have to get to the other side of the road. And then we wait for a car to come.

After few mins of walking

Roshni: he doesn't have time for me.

Jaejoong looks down on her.

Roshni: Everything seems to come before me.

Jaejoong understands she is talking about her guy.

Roshni: we makes plans to go somewhere, he always bails out at the last minute saying an important meeting came up. But he thinks he makes up by sending me a huge bouquet that his secretary orders on the phone.
Jaejoong lets out a soft laugh.

Jaejoong: but you love him right?

Roshni looks at him. Not knowing what to say

Jaejoong: you would love to spend every single second with him through the good through the bad. Even when he is not being the most Mr. Perfect you say he is?

Roshni nods, knowing well she just lied to both of them.

Jaejoong: then it's all good.

They get a ride. By the time they reach Salma's house the sun has already gone down.

Jaejoong: so we are here!!

Roshni: yup!

Jaejoong: ready??

Roshni nods in response.

They walk in holding hands. (Not realizing they are holding hands)

Everyone gets happy to see them. They were all so worried.

Jaejoong goes with all his guys and Roshni separate to her girls.

Guys side::

Yunho: so how did it go?
Jaejoong: Look at me? How do you think it went? Lets see I had go through a car race, an accident, a whole field of cows, riding cars with a stranger who ended up hitting on Roshni, then we ended on the back of a truck. You are so lucky I am not killing you right now.

Yunho: what an adventure!!

He is about to continue when he notices Maria walking over to them.

Maria: Hi!

Jaejoong turns.

Jaejoong: hey.
Maria: it's nice to see you here. I didn't think you would show up.

Jaejoong: why not?

Maria: well.....everyone is in couples...and...I thought...

Yunho: Oh have you met Jaejoong’s girlfriend yet? I don't think so. Here wait. He looks around the room and goes to get Roshni.

Maria: you are with someone?

Yunho returns with Roshni.

Roshni is confused. Who is the girl? She looks at Jaejoong.

Jaejoong: Roshni meet Maria....Maria this is Roshni.

Roshni: oh! [She gets closer to Jaejoong, putting one of her arms behind him while the other one rests on his chest] I heard so much about you!!

Jaejoong is surprised by the sudden closeness. He finds her very comforting. He lets his arm slip around her waist. Instead of paying attention to the conversation...he starts getting lost in the sweet smell of her hair. He wonders how it still smells so nice when she has been through hell today.

Roshni looks up. For a moment it seems like neither of them are paying attention to anything else anymore.

Salma comes over and announces dinner. They break out of each others embrace. And walk toward the table.

Everyone sits at the table. During dinner the conversation comes back to Roshni and Jaejoong's adventure today. Everyone starts laughing. In the middle Jaejoong eats something spicy and starts coughing.

Yunho: what an idiot. Why did you try it since you can't handle spice?

Jaejoong is still coughing. His eyes are getting watery. Roshni looks for his glass but there is only the soda can, she takes her glass and hands it to him.

Everyone notices it and goes "awwww" saying how cute. Jaejoong and Roshni both blush!!

After dinner when everyone is scattered around again Roshni looks for Jaejoong. Except, he is nowhere to be found. She finds them in the kitchen talking, Maria's arms wrapped round his neck. She gets mad. She looks around to be alone for a while. But there are people everywhere. She goes outside by the pool.

Well it's good that they are back together. She should be happy.

Jaejoong: need company?

Roshni: [without looking at him] No thank you!

Jaejoong: thanks. I wasn't asking for permission anyways. [stretching his arms]

Roshni: I can't believe you are back with her?

Jaejoong: who? Oh her!

Roshni: I mean seriously! Are you blind? She is so not right for you!

Jaejoong: really?

Roshni: yes. I mean I would understand if she was really pretty. But she is not!

Jaejoong is confused and very much amused at this point.

Roshni: you know what!! Never mind! Go be with her. Why are you here anyways?

Jaejoong walks close to her.

Jaejoong: you know what I think...you are so jealous!

Roshni opens her mouth in shock.

Jaejoong: Yea...??That’s it. You like me??

Roshni: No I don't.

Jaejoong: what part was it...was it the part when I carried you across the field or was it the part when I saved you from the old man who was hitting on you?

Roshni: for your information I do not like you! As a matter of fact I dislike you very much. But if it had to be a moment it was the time when you said “what are we going to do"

Jaejoong starts to laugh.

Roshni: stop laughing

Jaejoong keeps laughing
Roshni: stop it!

Jaejoong comes closer to her as he is laughing. Roshni had had enough. She pushes him in the water.

Jaejoong is shocked.

Now it's Roshni's turn to laugh.

Roshni: Have fun!!

Roshni walks into the house laughing. She is about to go tell everyone what happened when she bumps into someone and loses her balance.

Yamapi: Gotcha! [Keeping her from falling]

Roshni looks around to make sure she is not imagining this.

Roshni: You?? What are you doing here?

Yamapi: I thought you would be happy to see me.

Roshni: I am!!! [for some reason she isn't convinced]

Yamapi: My meeting got canceled. So I thought why not come and surprise you.

Roshni thinks he did come but only after his meeting got canceled.

Yamapi: Are you ok? You are not still mad at me are you?

Roshni tries to fake a smile and shake her head.

Jaejoong grabs her from the back and pulls her into a deep kiss.

Roshni's eyes are wide open with shock. She puts her hand on his chest to push him away but instead it just rests there. She can feel his muscles under her palm. She is kissing another guy in front of her boyfriend?? EX boyfriend.

Jaejoong finally pulls away.

Roshni looks around to see everyone is staring at them. Naina's mouth is wide open; Jouty blinks to make sure this is real. Baji is about to faint.

Salma realizes how tense the situation is. She does NOT want a fight to break out. Not when all her furniture is new. She walks toward them

Salma: Uhm uhm...well Jaejoong this is Yamapi...Roshni's...

Roshni: Ex!!

Jaejoong gives her an amused glance.

Yamapi: [in a stern voice] we can talk about this.

Roshni: There is nothing to talk about.

She hears a whistle. (Must’ve been Naina)

Yamapi: Roshni

Jaejoong butts in

Jaejoong: there is nothing to talk about. You had your chance and you lost it.

Jaejoong takes Roshni's hand in his and places a soft kiss on it.

Jaejoong: Shall we?

Roshni smiles and nods.

They walk out.

A month later::

Roshni: Ok look!! Do I wear this... [holding a black dress] or this [holding another black dress] Or this [another black dress] Or...

Jouty: aaaaahhh!! Shut up!!! They are the same!! They are all black!!!

Roshni: well yea but still...

Naina is laughing her ass off in the corner.

Jouty takes a pillow and throws it at her.

KC comes in with a bag and hands it to Roshni.

Roshni: what is it?

KC: Check for yourself.

Roshni opens it and it's a very pretty white dress with a simple black ribbon. It's perfect!

Roshni: Oh thank you!! [Hugs KC]

KC hugs her back!!

KC: yea happy one month anniversary! We all bought it. A gift from all of us!

Jaejoong comes to pick her up. They invite him in.

Naina walks out with another bag.

KC looks confused.

KC: I don't remember buying something for him.

Naina: well it's was our idea. [Pointing at Jouty and herself]

Roshni, Jaejoong and KC ask what is it..

Jouty: check it yourself!

Jaejoong throws them a mischievous glance as if taking in some type of dare...he looks into the gift bag and...his eyes get wide open with shock.

Jouty and Naina come close to him...

Naina: [whispering] You never know!! Protection is very important these days!!!!!!

Jouty: [nods her head yes]

Naina: I have no intentions of being an aunt this young

Jouty: We don't want little Sara or Jaejoong's running around screaming Mausi Mausi to us.

Naina: [shakes her head] Hope you understand! [Pats on his shoulder]
